As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces, we are proud to celebrate Armed Forces Day (formerly Veteran’s Day) today, 26th June 2021.
This year Armed Forces week runs 19th – 24th June & is a chance to show our support & provide a much appreciated morale boost for the 1,000s of serving troops, reservists, service families, veterans & cadets who make up our Armed forces community.
Monday 19th sees the raising of the Armed Forces Day flag on buildings & famous landmarks across the country as we start our week of recognition & thanks.
Wednesday 21st is a day to specifically recognise & celebrate the contribution to the Armed Forces our Reserve Forces make. Making up one sixth of our Armed Forces, Reserve Forces manage a Forces life at home & overseas alongside their civilian life’s responsibilities & commitments.
Saturday 24th pays tribute to our Armed Forces for their continued commitment in protecting the UK, fighting terrorism home & abroad, international peacekeeping missions, delivering aid & combating drug smuggling around the world.
