Regarded by many as a ‘day of bad luck’, for Quadratek, Friday 13th September was a great day for the team. Not only were we all out of the office on a social to Goodwood revival, all dolled up in 40s 50s & 60s attire (we’ll let 2 members of the team off!) with victory rolls, curls and red lippy in place (girls only!), we were blessed with glorious sunshine.
With drinks flowing, we had the privilege of watching many 100s of millions of pounds worth of rare and beautiful cars competing for many a coveted trophy as well as the dancers jive away – many of us wished we could dance.
Spoilt for choice with food from all corners of the globe, a chance to purchase car memorabilia as well as our period outfit for next year, the opportunity to roller skate to 50s music whilst eating a traditional 99 ice cream (well, maybe not ‘whilst’ skating) it was a recipe for a fantastic day.
It was a miracle we all managed to get home in one piece – even if one of us had a two-hour walk between the train station and home all thanks to a need to detour via the kebab van!!
Until next year Goodwood, goodbye.
