This year Armed Forces week runs 19th – 24th June & is a chance to show our support & provide a much appreciated morale boost for the 1,000s of serving troops, reservists, service families, veterans & cadets who make up our Armed forces community.
A number of the team were invited to lunch at HMS President followed by a trip along the Thames on a P2000 courtesy of the Royal Navy
From banging our saucepans on a Thursday night showing appreciation & support for the wonderful NHS, many of us joined local community groups to ensure everyone was doing ok
So, 12 months ago I signed up for the Beachy Head Marathon (one of the UK’s biggest off-road marathons) as a friend talked me into it and I felt I needed a challenge. The last full marathon I competed in was the 2013 London marathon running for the Leonard Cheshire Disability Charity where I raised over £1,500.
It’s not every day you get a chance to go to ‘THE’ Palace and wander through the garden at your leisure, but for two members of our team, that’s exactly what happened.
Regarded by many as a ‘day of bad luck’, for Quadratek, Friday 13th September was a great day for the team. Not only were we all out of the office on a social to Goodwood revival…
Conventional wisdom has it that, just by getting a degree you show you’re ready for the real world – having made it through three or four years of lectures, and completed something challenging.
Not these days, though.
Increasingly, what matters is getting degrees in fields requiring exact knowledge (like law, medicine, or engineering), or that leave you with an exact skill-set (like education, science, and sometimes business).
